Two critical vulnerabilities have been discovered in VMware vCenter Server. The more serious vulnerability, CVE-2024-38812, lets attackers run malicious code remotely by overloading the server’s memory, causing it to overwrite other areas and enabling the attacker to take control. This vulnerability was rated with a CVSS score of 9.8/10. The second, CVE-2024-38813, is a privilege escalation vulnerability rated 7.5/10, allowing an attacker to gain higher access permissions to the server.
